Kensi 'n' Tom - Some lights never go out

:: Walk on - TB

Walk, walk forwards.
Don’t ever step back.
Tread, tread safely.
Don’t step on the toes of my dreams.
Carve, carve its soul into yours,
the odds shall be in your favour.
Live, live in hope.
Me, I just live in this city.

:: Window - KC

be it across the street or the Atlantic
a window is a window is a window.
I can only see what you want me to
and you see me because I let you through
because I want you in as much as
I want light.

- TB's official house  is Under the Toadstool, maybe one day he moves in with me, huh.
- These poems are shared with The Real Toads

A lifetime of writing and performing poetry and children's rhymes with someone I adore. I don't need much more than that.

    Such a fruitful conversation! Like outer voices of inner selves. There is enough distance and unique enough vantage to keep the dialogue in motion. Ever be it!

  2. Throw open that window and let it all in!

  3. Very nice, but I guess the thing outside the window isn't as transparent about life as light.

    1. A very sensitive observation, thanks. :)

  4. 'me , i just live in this city' absolutely love that line

  5. Damn, you know I love some of that romantic feeling....uh huh. Just Sayin'.

    1. Corey, I really love it that you're as subtle as a brick. Lol! Don't you ever lose it. ^_^

    You two work together beautifully, sigh

    1. We do, don't we? I really like writing with him.

  7. Love this Kenia right down to the last beautiful line. It flows like a song.

  8. A window.. there is that choice of opening or closing.. of permissions and want. Love collaborations.

  9. This really spoke to me-I really like this one! A great collab

  10. you see me because I let you through..

    This tells me all I need to know about your association with other people - the generosity of spirit which lets them in to your world.

  11. I'm so far behind, please forgive me. This is the first of the K/T series I've read (which has its own rather explosive meaning in geologic terms) and I will be diving in as time permits.

    As to the pen... there is a tenderness, vulnerability in the way glass is both fragile - yet piercingly strong, letting in light but holding out the worst of the tempest. ~

  12. Brilliant! Collaboration suits you, but your words have always carried such emotional weight. This is a prime example.

  13. ... I love your poetry!
