:: Walk on - TB
Walk, walk forwards.
Don’t ever step back.
Tread, tread safely.
Don’t step on the toes of my dreams.
Carve, carve its soul into yours,
the odds shall be in your favour.
Live, live in hope.
Me, I just live in this city.
:: Window - KC
be it across the street or the Atlantic
a window is a window is a window.
I can only see what you want me to
and you see me because I let you through
because I want you in as much as
I want light.

Such a fruitful conversation! Like outer voices of inner selves. There is enough distance and unique enough vantage to keep the dialogue in motion. Ever be it!
ReplyDeleteThrow open that window and let it all in!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, but I guess the thing outside the window isn't as transparent about life as light.
ReplyDeleteA very sensitive observation, thanks. :)
Delete'me , i just live in this city' absolutely love that line
ReplyDeleteDamn, you know I love some of that romantic feeling....uh huh. Just Sayin'.
ReplyDeleteCorey, I really love it that you're as subtle as a brick. Lol! Don't you ever lose it. ^_^
DeleteYou two work together beautifully, sigh
ReplyDeleteWe do, don't we? I really like writing with him.
DeleteLove this Kenia right down to the last beautiful line. It flows like a song.
ReplyDeleteA window.. there is that choice of opening or closing.. of permissions and want. Love collaborations.
ReplyDeleteThis really spoke to me-I really like this one! A great collab
ReplyDeleteyou see me because I let you through..
ReplyDeleteThis tells me all I need to know about your association with other people - the generosity of spirit which lets them in to your world.
I'm so far behind, please forgive me. This is the first of the K/T series I've read (which has its own rather explosive meaning in geologic terms) and I will be diving in as time permits.
ReplyDeleteAs to the pen... there is a tenderness, vulnerability in the way glass is both fragile - yet piercingly strong, letting in light but holding out the worst of the tempest. ~
Brilliant! Collaboration suits you, but your words have always carried such emotional weight. This is a prime example.
ReplyDelete... I love your poetry!
